Sabumnim Alejandro Mora (5th Dan)
Master Mora is our Head Instructor and School Manager; He became part of the STA in 1997 when he was still a 2nd Dan Black belt. In 2002, he earned his 3rd Dan, his Sabumnim (Master’s Title), and his 4th Dan ranks. Prior to that, Master Mora was an established tournament fighter, and was the 1995 Mexican National Champion; thereafter, he took 2nd place in 1996. Master Mora is married with a beautiful wife and he is now the proud father of a baby girl born in 2004 and a boy born in 2005.
Mr. Mike Kim 3rd Dan
Senior Instructor Mr. Mike Kim has been teaching at STKDA for two years. Mr. Kim comes to us after he moved into the Salinas community from Colorado in 2004. He brings with him more than ten years of Tae Kwon Do experience and attention to detail in every class he teaches. Mr. Kim is also currently a Brown Belt in Judo and has previous training in Brazilian Jujitsu and Small Circle Jujitsu to add to his repertoire.
Mr Erick Sanches (2nd Dan)
Instructor Mr. Erick Sanchez has been actively training at the STKDA since 1996. He earned his 1st Poom (Junior 1st Degree Black Belt) in 1999 and earned his 2nd Dan in 2004. Mr. Sanchez actively competes in tournaments and was the State of California Champion at the 1998 Junior Olympics.
Mr. Peter Barboza
Mr. Barboza was promoted to 1st Dan in 2004. He assistes instructors during the evening classes. Mr. Barboza is the father of a healthy baby boy born in 2004.
Mr. Matthew Roberts(2nd Dan)
Part Time Instructor Mr. Roberts began training at the STKDA in the fall of 1999, continued his training through the ranks and was promoted to 1st Dan in December 2004. Mr. Roberts assists our regular Instructors with classes as his schedule allows.
Mrs. Julie Chun (1st Dan)
Julie comes to us from L.A. where she trained in ballet and traditional Korean dance. She took up Tae Kwon Do since 2003 and has been pursuing it with passion. She serves as an instructor for the kick boxin class and the lower belt children' class. She is currently working hard towards her graduate degree in East Asian History.
Mrs. Silvia Fratangelo
Silvia got a degree as a physical trainer and she is a certified Turbo Kick Boxing Instructor. And she has helped us with the Cardio Kick-Boxing and Turbo Kick Boxing Classes since 2005.
